I'm a paragraph. Oh, wait. That's from the template. Although, I wonder what life would be like as a paragraph. It probably depends on the punctuation.
-- Amazingly talented and handsome unknown author.

The Synopsis
I wrote my first short story for my third-grade class. Although it was supposed to be two pages, I overachieved, as usual, and penned a five-page mystery where the murderer buries their victim under an ice skating rink. I stole the plot from an episode of the soap opera Another World. Thus, my first (and only) attempt at plagiarism.
In 1982, when I turned 13, I submitted my first short story to Analog magazine. This time around, my influence was Knight Rider (you emulate the greats). I still have their rejection letter, which I cherish each time I see it. I also have the original story. I pull it out occasionally to show myself how far I've come.
The shift to professional writing occurred at 16 when I became a reporter for the North Jersey-based Lakeland Today newspaper. Two years and numerous board of education/town council meetings later, I became a reporter for Rutgers University's The Daily Targum paper and WRSU radio station. Once in a while, I caress the yellowing clippings of my first journalistic endeavors.

Millions of words later, including several books, blog entries, technical manuals, and content marketing, I still thrill converting thoughts into printed words.
